The most important system within the human body is the digestive system. When this critical system becomes compromised, it can adversely affect the efficiency of any other biosystem and life-sustaining pathway within the body. There are no degenerative disease conditions that exist where varying imbalances within the digestive system are not a prevalent underlying factor.
Tradition has taught us from an early age to develop poor dietary habits that significantly contribute to compromising the efficiency of the digestive system: We don’t chew our food properly, we eat late and go to bed with food to be digested in our stomachs, we don’t eat on time, we combine foods badly, eat and drink at the same time and so on. Such dietary habits over time will significantly compromise digestive processes, lower enzyme function, destroy healthy intestinal bacteria that defend the body and set the stage for any number of illnesses to develop over time.
The colon or large intestine is the primary stage within the digestive system where disease can develop. In 1917, in the Journal of American Medicine, the renowned Dr. Harvey Kellogg reported that in the treatment of gastrointestinal disease in over 40,000 cases, he had used surgery in only 20 cases. The rest were helped with cleansing and washing the large intestine using colon hydrotherapy, diet and exercise. Dr. Kellogg further stated, “Of the 22,000 operations I personally performed I never found a single normal colon, and of the 100,000 performed under my jurisdiction, not over 6% were normal.” Most people today, because of poor dietary habits, unbalanced diets, a lack of healthy water, contaminants in processed and refined foods and the use of prescription drugs, the incidences of digestive problems are continuously escalating.
Another noted physician, Dr. James A. Wiltsie M.D. who contend that, “Our knowledge of the normal and abnormal physiology of the colon, and of its pathology and management, has not kept pace with that of many organs and systems of the body”. Dr. Wiltsie went on to say that, “As long as we continue to assume that the colon will take care of itself, just that long will we remain in complete ignorance of perhaps the most important source of ill health in the whole body.”
Adding to the poor habits of diet, most people consume 3 meals daily, but only eliminate intestinal waste once per day. That’s 21 meals in a week with an average of 5-7 eliminations. Just think about that! Experts agree that proper bowel movements should be 2-3 times daily. As a result most of us build years of fecal plaque onto the colon walls which hardens and is difficult to remove. It is within this waste matter that parasites, yeast and other microorganisms breed, lay their eggs and release many toxins. Eventually these organisms can enter the bloodstream and find their way into our organs. Fecal stagnant waste sitting in the colon ferments and rots, also leaching many toxins into the bloodstream which contributes significantly to ill health.
Colon Hydrotherapy Maintaining Health & Preventing Disease
Colon Hydrotherapy is a safe, gentle and effective method for cleansing the body of potentially harmful substances which the colon has not been able to discharge by natural peristalsis. While not a cure for any disease or ailment, it may be considered an important adjunctive therapy to help you rejuvenate and maintain your overall health. Hardened fecal plaque along the entire length of the colon is softened and painlessly removed along with loads of toxic waste, parasites, and other potentially disease-causing organisms.
A healthy colon is absolutely vital to living a life free of degenerative disease. Colon Hydrotherapy can be most beneficial in helping to restore good health by:
Clearing the colon of old, hardened, waste material and harmful toxins.
Restoring proper pH balance to the body and increasing energy.
Stimulating the immune systems.
Allowing freer passage of nutrients into the blood and tissues.
Increasing the prevention of toxic absorption into the bloodstream and tissues.
Providing a favorable environment for healthy bacteria and better digestion.
Relieving menstrual cramps and many lower back pains.
Strengthening & restoring normal regular function from years of being constipated.
The procedure is conducted by our clinically trained Certified Colon Hydrotherapist and takes 30-45 minutes. Warm purified, ultra violet sterilized water is gently passed through the entire colon. Organic plant elements like chlorophyll and organic minerals are added to water to help purify and loosen impacted fecal plaque. As much as 10-20 bowel movements of waste and hardened debris can be eliminated in one treatment, while sluggish bowel muscles are being reeducated into more efficient function. This can be quite a rejuvenating experience!
Who is Colon Hydrotherapy NOT FOR?
Clients with the following health conditions are not eligible for colon hydrotherapy.
ABDOMINAL HERNIA : when a client has been diagnosed with abdominal hernia or has had surgery for abdominal hernia.
ABDOMINAL SURGERY : after recent abdominal surgery since the administering of this procedure initiates peristalsis and the use of the abdominal muscles may aggravate sutures and the healing of the incision. A minimum of 12 weeks should pass after surgery.
ACUTE LIVER FAILURE : when a client has been diagnosed by their doctor with acute liver failure.
ABNORMAL DISTENSION/MASSES : if a client has been diagnosed with an abnormal colon.
ANEMIA : when a client has been diagnosed with severe anemia.
ANEURYSM : colon hydrotherapy/enemas are contraindicated when a doctor has diagnosed a person to have aneurysms.
CARCINOMA : when a client has been diagnosed with Carcinoma (cancer) of the Colon.
CARDIAC CONDITION : if a client has had cardiac surgery or has been diagnosed with a heart condition such as uncontrolled hypertension or congestive heart failure.
CHROHNS DISEASE : if a client has been diagnosed with Chrohns Disease.
COLITIS : if a client has been diagnosed with colitis, ulcerative colitis, etc.
DIALYSIS PATIENTS : when a client is restricted on fluid intake a doctor’s release should be obtained and colonic irrigation/enemas done according to doctor’s order.
DIVERTICULOSIS : when a client has been diagnosed with Diverticulitis.
FISSURES/FISTULAS : when a client user has been diagnosed with fissures/fistulas.
HEMORRHAGING : when a client user has a flow of bright red blood discharge or blood in stool.
HEMORRHOIDECTOMY : after removal of hemorrhoids a Doctor’s Release should be obtained.
NTESTINAL PERFORATION : when a client has been previously diagnosed to have intestinal perforations.
LUPUS : if your client has been diagnosed with Lupus, the client should have a prescription.
PREGNANCY : colon hydrotherapy are contraindicated during the first and last trimester of pregnancy, but may be prescribed by OB-GYN, as an enema just prior to childbirth.
RECTAL SURGERY : after recent rectal surgery. (Should wait a minimum of 12 weeks.)
RENAL INSUFFICIENCIES : when a client has been diagnosed to be renal insufficient (weak kidneys).
